The first time I visited Egypt was with my family in 1989, when I was a kid.
Back then, you could still climb on the pyramids, and there were virtually no people in the Valley of the Kings (and you had to take a donkey to get there!)
If you’d told me back then that certain temples were still very much active if you had the key to unlock their mystery, I would’ve thought that sounded cool, but wouldn’t have believed it.
I know better now, though!! 🤯
